This Privacy Policy explains how ContactRadar (“ContactRadar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use contactradar.io and related services (the “Service”).

ContactRadar is a business-to-business (B2B) software tool. We help companies research professional contact information for legitimate business outreach, recruiting, and sales. We are not a consumer marketing service.

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

A. Account information
When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Password (stored in hashed form)
• Credit balance and purchase history
• Basic account activity (logins, unlocks, searches)

B. Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. Stripe may provide us with billing email, payment status, and subscription details needed to add credits to your account.

C. Usage information
We collect information about how you use the Service, such as:

• Search queries and filters
• Contacts you unlock
• Pages visited and approximate device/browser information
• IP address and basic security logs (for rate limiting and abuse prevention)

D. Professional contact data in our database
Our database contains business contact information about individuals in their professional capacity (for example, name, job title, company, business email, and state). This data is used only to provide the Service to our customers.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health information, precise geolocation, Social Security numbers, or information about children).

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Authenticate users and manage accounts and credits
• Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse
• Respond to support requests
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms
• Send important service-related notices (for example, security or account updates)

We may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you personally. We do not use your account data for consumer advertising networks.

3. How we share information

We may share information with:

• Service providers that help us run the Service (for example, Amazon Web Services for hosting, Stripe for payments, email delivery providers). They may only use data to perform services for us.
• You, when you unlock and export contacts you have paid to access
• Legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or security

We do not sell your account information (email/password) as a product.

Professional contact records in our database are made available to customers who use the Service for B2B purposes, subject to our Terms. If you are an individual whose professional contact appears in our database, see Section 6 for your options.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use essential cookies or local storage to keep you logged in and to operate the Service. We do not currently run third-party advertising cookies on the core product. If that changes, we will update this Policy.

5. Data retention

• Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for security, billing, and legal purposes.
• Unlocked contacts associated with your account are retained so you can access and export them.
• We may retain limited records needed to honor opt-outs, prevent fraud, or comply with law.

6. Your choices and rights

If you are a ContactRadar user (customer account):

• You can access or update account details by contacting us.
• You may request account deletion by emailing support@contactradar.io (subject to legal and operational limits).

If you are an individual whose professional information may appear in our database:

You may request that we suppress or remove your professional contact from customer-facing search results by emailing privacy@contactradar.io (or support@contactradar.io) with enough detail for us to locate the record (for example, full name, company, and email). We may need to verify the request.

Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states), you may have rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, and to opt out of certain sales/sharing of personal information where applicable. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to our size and the nature of the Service (including encrypted connections, access controls, and hashed passwords). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Please use a strong unique password and protect your login credentials.

8. Children’s privacy

The Service is for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S., where laws may differ from those in your country.

10. Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party sites (for example, Stripe Checkout). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
